There was something very familiar about Boston and it wasn't
just the Irish bars dotted all along the main street. It felt very
European, a little less structured than other major American
cities... and I liked it.
Ah New York, New York… The Big Apple, The City that Never
Sleeps, The City So Nice They Named It Twice… I've been to New York
a couple of times before. The first being at the end of my J1
work/travel back in 2000. I've never failed to be impressed by this
city. It's a cocohophany of craziness with a loose scaffolding of
order around it. One word to describe this place is vibrant. It's a
vibrant hub of culture, nightlife, business and lifestyles.
Long overdue my first post is finally making its appearance!
Toronto was my first stop and I loved it. It's a great city. It's
got the best of everything. It has what's good about the USA
wrapped up in what's great about Canada. It reminded me a lot of
Chicago (minus the Canadians). The wide (and clean) downtown
streets, the architecture and the friendly people. It was my first
trip to Canada and a great way to get my feet wet.
Well I'm finally getting around to posting some
Paddy's Day pics. There are no boundaries being pushed with this
entry but for posterity's sake it was worth sticking them up! A big
thanks to my lovely-hand model Michelle for the featured pic.
An interesting one this time as I joined up with the guys from
photowalk.ie for a stroll around the Docklands. There were a few
things that I wanted to take pics of in the area (ferris wheel,
Convention Centre and of course the Samuel Becket bridge).
Just one more pic to post from my first Institute of Photography
Photoshoot before Christmas. This one was taken as an afterthought
as I was walking to meet a friend for a Christmas drink in the
Brazen Head. How often am I walking along the quays with tripod and
camera in hand and no-one walking across the Ha'penny Bridge.
Opportunity noticed... picture taken. Well a few taken but this is
one of the better ones.
For my first post I thought I'd share a few pics taken in the
Stephen's Green area on a recent photoshoot. The image featured
above is of the Grafton Street Christmas Lights.
